Terms of Service

Support requests and acceptance
Submitting a support request does not guarantee immediate service or require Potent Technology to accept the work. Additional information may be requested before service is accepted, scheduled, or quoted.
Diagnostics, estimates, and repair approval
Unless a different amount is quoted in writing, the standard diagnostic fee for device repair is $39.99. The diagnostic fee is due for diagnostic work even if the customer declines the recommended repair. If the customer approves the repair and Potent Technology completes that repair, the $39.99 diagnostic fee is credited toward the final repair invoice unless a different written estimate or agreement states otherwise.
When Potent Technology requires advance diagnostic authorization, diagnostic work will not begin until the customer accepts the diagnostic service agreement and the required diagnostic fee has actually been received and recorded. A promise to pay later, a pending transfer, or a statement that cash is available does not count as received payment.
No additional paid repair work or paid parts purchase above the customer's authorized amount will be performed without additional approval. Estimates may change when hidden damage, additional failures, parts availability, licensing, shipping, or other conditions change the work required.
30-day service guarantee
Potent Technology provides a 30-day service guarantee on the specific covered labor and workmanship performed. The 30-day period begins when the covered service is completed or, for device work, when the completed device is returned to the customer. If the same covered issue returns during that period because of Potent Technology's work, Potent Technology will re-evaluate the covered service and, when appropriate, correct that labor at no additional labor charge.
The guarantee does not cover unrelated or new failures, new physical or liquid damage, power events, malware reinfection, customer or third-party changes, misuse, normal wear, or failure of a separate component.
Replacement parts and third-party products
Replacement parts remain subject to the manufacturer, distributor, or seller warranty and return terms that apply to the part. Potent Technology does not create a separate parts warranty unless one is stated in writing. If a Potent-supplied replacement part is determined to be defective during the 30-day covered-labor period and a warranty replacement is available, Potent Technology will not charge additional labor to reinstall the replacement for the same covered repair unless an exclusion applies.
Customer-supplied parts are used at the customer's risk and are not warranted by Potent Technology. Additional labor may apply if a supplied part is incorrect, defective, incompatible, or causes additional troubleshooting.
Customer responsibilities and data
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, having authorization to request work on the devices, systems, accounts, or services involved, and maintaining appropriate backups of important information whenever possible.
Technology service can involve risks including data loss, configuration changes, hardware failure, or service interruption. Potent Technology will use reasonable care and will access only information reasonably necessary to perform the authorized work, but cannot guarantee preservation of all data unless a specific written backup or data-service agreement says otherwise.
Passwords, credentials, and remote access
Potent Technology prefers customer-entered or temporary credentials when access is required. Permanent passwords, PINs, MFA codes, and recovery keys are not intended to become part of the normal service record. Remote-control sessions require customer authorization, and persistent unattended access is not enabled for ordinary one-time repair work unless separately approved for an ongoing support relationship.
Payment and release of equipment
Payment is due when service is completed unless different terms are agreed in writing. Potent Technology may require deposits, diagnostic fees, or advance payment for parts or other committed costs. Equipment may be retained for unpaid authorized charges to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Unclaimed equipment
Customer equipment remains the customer's property. Potent Technology does not automatically treat equipment as abandoned after a fixed number of days. If equipment remains unclaimed, Potent Technology may make repeated contact attempts and will follow applicable notice and lawful process requirements before any sale or other disposition is considered. Data-bearing devices receive additional privacy and data-security review before any transfer or disposition.
On-site and remote service
Remote and on-site service are provided only when the requested work is appropriate for that service method and Potent Technology accepts the engagement. Access, safety, environment, travel, equipment, or third-party restrictions can affect availability, scheduling, or scope.
Limits of service
Potent Technology may refuse or stop work involving suspected stolen property, unlawful activity, prohibited content or use, unsafe conditions, threats, harassment, or work outside the accepted scope. Specific outcomes cannot always be guaranteed, and some issues may require replacement equipment, vendor support, or additional services.
Written estimates and project terms
Consulting, website, hosting, creative, managed-service, and other project work may use separate written scopes, estimates, or agreements. When a specific written agreement conflicts with these general website terms, the specific written agreement controls to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Potent Technology services evolve. The current version will be posted on this website with the updated date shown above.
