Replacing a computer should not mean leaving important files behind. Potent Technology can help move accessible data to a new computer or storage device, organize the transfer, and explain what was moved before the old device is retired.

Yes. When the old computer or its storage is readable, Potent can help transfer accessible user files such as documents, photos, downloads, and other agreed data to a replacement computer or storage device.
No. Data transfer generally means copying readable files from working or accessible storage. A drive with mechanical failure, severe corruption, or inaccessible data may require specialized data-recovery tools or a dedicated recovery lab.
Yes. A transfer or backup can be planned before a reset or retirement so important accessible files are copied and checked first. Data erasure or disposal work should only happen after the transfer is confirmed and separately authorized.
Most installed applications cannot simply be copied like documents and photos. They often need to be reinstalled and may require licenses or account access. Potent can help identify what needs to be reinstalled as part of the migration plan.
Stop unnecessary use if the drive is clicking, disappearing, reporting serious errors, or contains irreplaceable data. Potent can help assess the situation, but severe hardware failure may be safer with a specialist data-recovery lab rather than repeated normal transfer attempts.
Tell Potent what the source device is, whether it still starts, what destination device or storage you have, and the general types of files you need moved. Do not send passwords, recovery keys, or private file contents in the initial request.
