Before Work Begins
Starting a request is free. If an unknown computer or device problem needs diagnosis, Potent confirms the $39.99 diagnostic first and credits it toward a completed approved repair.
No surprise parts, subscriptions, purchases, or expanded work above what you approved. If the scope changes, Potent stops and confirms the next step first.
If the same covered issue returns because of Potent's labor or workmanship within 30 days, Potent will re-evaluate it and correct covered labor when appropriate.
Common signs include repeated pop-ups, browser redirects, unfamiliar software, disabled security tools, unexplained account activity, or a sudden performance change. Those symptoms can also have non-malware causes, so Potent investigates before recommending cleanup work.
If someone has remote access, suspicious activity is actively occurring, or sensitive accounts are open, disconnect the computer from the internet and stop using it for passwords or payments. A normal shutdown is reasonable unless you need immediate guidance about preserving evidence or files.
No. Many unwanted programs can be removed safely, but a heavily compromised or unreliable system may be safer to reset or reinstall. Potent will explain the tradeoffs and confirm the scope before that work begins.

Potent can discuss backup and file-preservation options before major cleanup or reset work. Files are handled according to the agreed scope, and no backup can be guaranteed until the source drive and data are evaluated.
Describe the warning or behavior you saw, when it started, whether anyone remotely accessed the computer, and whether sensitive accounts or payments were involved. Screenshots can help when they do not expose passwords or private information.
